Review: Hello Flawless Benefit Foundation

Good Evening Everyone!

I have recently been using the new Benefit "Hello Flawless - Oxygen Wow" Foundation in Beige. I have bought it in Boots for €37. I decided to give it a go, as I am already using the Benefit brow kit and cannot fault it one bit, hence why I didn't really question the price of the product as I suppose it comes with the brand name.

The girl at the counter was young and inexperienced. It took me no longer than 3 minutes to "test" the foundation shades and if it was up to her I'd leave buying a shade for someone who has just been in Spain. It's sad they let someone with no expertise to guide you through your purchase especially representing such prestigious company. I have bought number of foundations in my life, so I went with a shade I knew would suit me best and would be the most optimal even if my skin was to get some tan.

The "Hello Flawless" foundation has SPF 25, which is relatively good given the fact "summer" is almost over in Ireland.

I bought it mainly as I got a little bored of my regular foundation and as my skin can get quite oily towards the end of the day; this foundation is oil-free which was one of the perks of buying this foundation.

I am not gonna lie, I am not a fan of it and I would not purchase it again. Don't get me wrong I know plenty of people who use it and that's how it came recommended to me. I believe this is downright to personal preferences and experience with the product.

I start my day at 6.30am, by 7.30am my make up is on and I am out the door and not back in until 7.30pm.

The foundation turns into patches of color by 11am leaving you with little coverage elsewhere and it gathers in circles. Mind you, I have been using various foundations since I was 14 years old, so it is not down to me using too much of the product.

It also feels very heavy once you apply it on your face and I couldn't wait to take it off.

More affordable brands such as L'oreal which I have used for years are so reliable and cost half the price.

I hope you guys find it useful, and if you have used it before let me know - I'd love to hear your thoughts and perhaps be proven wrong. I will still continue using this brand, as previously mentioned their brow kit is to die for and I find their mascara "They're Real!" amazing for everyday wear.

As always,

Lots of Love,

Joanna xoxo
