Instagram Workshop

Hello my lovelies,

Happy Saturday! Today was one of the best days since I started writing my blog. I have met my favorite blogger - Anouska! The workshop in the Dean Hotel was focused on Instagram Profiles and how to interest potential following whilst being consistent with your content, hence why Anouska was chosen to do the talk. Below you can see a snap of her Instagram Profile and her pictures are Ahhh-Mazing!!

Anouska's Instagram Profile

As you can see from above, Anouska's pictures are pretty incredible (this screenshot does not do them justice), you can view more of her pictures by clicking here. There are no questions, as to why she was chosen to do the talk, the photographs speak for themselves and she has a following of almost €94k! It is incredible to see that a person who has achieved so much already is so down to earth and pleasant to talk to.

As the previous talk I attended with James Butler this event was once again sponsored by Galaxy Ireland & Frockadvisor. Safe to say it was a yummy morning! There were plenty of aspiring bloggers and business owners looking to get some tricks of the trade from Anouska and it's a great opportunity to network; make new friends and support each other on social media.

For those of you, who weren't lucky enough to be there, Anouska's favorite apps to use for photo editing are:

  • Snapseed

  • VSCO

  • Afterlight

  • Facetune

All of these apps are free to use with the exception of Facetune. Facetune can be purchased in the Play Store for €3.99.

Couple of Anouska's Tricks:

  • Lighting/time of the day is extremely important for good photographs, especially for the outdoors and time these photos are shared on social media can influence the response rate - number of comments/likes.

  • What's also beneficial is to every-now-and-then look back at older photographs and remove some of them in order to stay consistent to your theme and overtime we may not love the same photos anymore.

  • Last but not least, if you don't have an exciting content to put up, make the most of your local area. For those of you living in Dublin there are plenty of subjects that can be pictured & many free events available to attend. Don't put yourself down if you don't have the funds to go out and spend!

At the end of the talk, we had an opportunity to have a quick chat with Anouska and get few snaps, which you can see below.

Galaxy Ireland in association with Frockadvisor are running a competition to recruit the 4th Dublin Fashion Festival Reporter and I will be applying shortly with my work. I will keep you posted when it's live online and all the shares, likes and comments would really mean the world to me as this is something I am passionate about and glad I have found blogging as a way of finding myself.
