Sense of Accomplishment

Today myself and Warren went to Bray for Seafront Show of Vintage Cars. We decided since the weather was lovely we might as well climb the Bray Head for a bit of exercise and as I have never done it before it will be another tick to my list.

As I have never "hiked" before I packed few things into our backpack: comfortable shoes, a jacket, umbrella, water and some light snacks. Safe to say I underestimated the weather, ad by the second corner the sweat was pouring out of me and I was short of breath (10 years of smoking would do that to you - Thank God I gave them up).

I have decided to compile a list of all essentials you will need for light hiking, as the images of those were flashing before my eyes wishing I had them with me:

- Bring a spare change of a top/t-shirt, especially if you are planning on having lunch or shopping afterwards

- Change of shoes, to a lighter pair

- Hair Clip!

- A Hand Towel

- Deodorant

- Blanket

- Water - plenty of it!

- Snacks, especially in areas where you can have picnic such as Bray homemade sambos would have been a Godsend

- Tissues/Wet Wipes

- Umbrella (because you never know)

- Sun Glasses

Once we got to the top, the tiredness evaporated and I was left with a feeling of accomplishment and pride. The view from the top was definitely worth the trip!

From The Outer Side

It was sunny & the sky was clear, so the view from the top was stunning.

Felt like we were on top of the world!

Hope everyone had a great Sunday! xoxo
