It's OK to be different.

Hi there. My name is Joanna. My family & I moved to Ireland from Poland in 2004. We have been the first "batch" of foreign people in Ireland, and suffice to say when I started school it was... tough. l was the 2nd foreign girl in my school and back then being different wasn't tolerated to say the least in all girls school, which was a novelty to me too.

Looking back at this now, I can understand where the girls were coming from, as I am sure they felt "surrounded" by foreign nationals on every angle of their life.

I felt rejected at first, but after few days my English got better and I made new friends. These girls helped my years in secondary school become tolerable and I managed to get into college for International Hospitality Management. To this day, I don't know why I chose hospitality - I love staying in hotels not working in them! :)

After graduation I got a job offer in New York and of course - I TOOK IT! New York is a city of my dreams, fast paced life, rich people, beautiful models.... it's safe to say I felt at home there. Unfortunately my visa ended but my passion for fashion and their lifestyle hasn't hence how I ended up starting my blog. The main topics of my blog will be trends, lifestyle, travel and my wedding planning!
