5 Unique Date Ideas

Happy Valentine's Day!

This weeks post will hopefully give you an idea to do something different this Valentine's Day or over the weekend for those of you working today. I am a strong believer of being "unconventional" and it may not necessarily mean spending hundreds of Euros; it could be quite the opposite.

So without further ado:

1. Roller Skating

This is a great idea for some light hearted fun and for beginning of relationships to break the ice and be more comfortable with each other! It's definitely a fun date and one to make you laugh at one another.

Spin City is a great spot for that - Tickets are €10.00 per person, so super affordable.

2. Outdoor Cinema

Last year throughout the summer 7up Free has put up a series of outdoor movies in the Iveagh Gardens with blankets and beanbag chairs. I am not 100% sure what the admission cost was however I believe it was no more than €15 per person.

Given the good weather it's a lovely idea of a date night, as it is much more relaxed than indoor cinema. Candles and fairy lights really create a lovely atmosphere.

3. Create a Personalized Scavenger Hunt

For those who wish to go the extra mile! This is definitely for advanced couples who know each other very well. Well though out scavenger hunt can be so much fun for both of you. Pick a familiar area to your partner - perhaps place he/she grew up in or places that are meaningful to both of you. It's also a great idea to learn details you didn't know about each other. You can gather some ideas for the hunt, here.

Happy Wives = Happy Lives :)

4. Cocktail Tasting @ Vintage Cocktail Club

Vintage Cocktail Club is an amazing bar in the heart of Temple Bar where all your cocktail dreams can come through! It is not a cheap date, however if you want to please your partner it's definitely one to tick off the bucket list! It would be a pleasant surprise for your girlfriend as it is definitely an unusual date in stunning "vintage" surroundings.

Plenty of flavors to choose from and the Mixologists will be happy to make you something "of the menu".

5. Sunday Markets at Dun Laoghaire Pier

Perfect Sunday for those who appreciate the small things in life. Wrap up and take a walk with a cuppa on the Dun Laoghaire Pier followed by the Hot Dog from the Sunday Markets! This is a good idea not only for love birds, but also for those who have families but wish to keep the romance alive. You can enjoy a hot chocolate together or a hot dog, while the little ones are pre-occupied with face painting! You can find more details, here.

I hope you liked this post and perhaps it gave you an idea for the upcoming weekend. Be sure to let me know, if you decide to do any of the above - I'd love to hear your feedback!

As Always,

Lots of Love,

Joanna xoxo
